<p>the scene:<br />
A installation containing a white plastic mat, a white projection screen, a bass guitar, a bass amplifier, i microphone, a microphone stand, a trumpet and a stripped drum set containing just a floor tom and a snare drum.</p>
<p>In the ceiling: A video projector, a DVD player and its suspension component.</p>
<p>The wall: A poster (size 50x70cm) containg a text and a promotion flyer for the the band &#8220;BANDNAMN&#8221;. The flyer has a picture of a Mondrian painting.</p>
<h2>Text piece in swedish:</h2>
<p>Skript för BANDNAMN</p>
<p>I institutionens entréhall finns en scen som utgörs<br />
av en vit matta med ett mickstativ, en elbas, en<br />
golvpuka och en virveltrumma. Basen är kopplad<br />
till en förstärkare. Bredvid mickstativet ligger en<br />
trumpet.</p>
<p>JOURNALISTEN: I den klassiska rock- och<br />
popsättningen ingår även bastrumma, hi-hat,<br />
hängpukor och cymbaler. Trumsetet är en fetisch<br />
i rockbandets estetik. En sittande trummis har<br />
dessutom fyra lemmar att spela sina rytmer med.<br />
Kombinationen bas och diskant (bastrumma och<br />
cymbaler) gör rytmen dynamisk. BANDNAMN:s<br />
stående trummis har bara tillgång till två lemmar,<br />
armarna, – en självpåtagen begränsning.<br />
BANDNAMN bryter regeln, strippar trumsetet<br />
och låter sin trummis spela virvel och puka stående<br />
istället för sittande. Det är en form av motstånd<br />
mot den standardiserade rock- och popformeln.</p>
<p>SÅNGERSKAN: BANDNAMN krossar inga<br />
skyltfönster. BANDNAMN är en författare som<br />
skriver i exil, en baglady i clownnäsa, två hängda<br />
homosexuella ungdomar i Iran… Deras välstrukna<br />
skjortor. BANDNAMN är långsiktiga effekter<br />
på skogen. BANDNAMN är inte originalet.<br />
BANDNAMN är ännu en uppvisning i stil.</p>
<p>Bakom instrumenten är en projektionsduk<br />
uppspänd. I dvd-spelaren som kopplats till<br />
projektorn finns ett bildspel som ska projiceras<br />
under spelningen. Lastbilar, skogar och fjäll och<br />
en operasångerska med tårar i ögonen som tar<br />
i så den stora bysten skakar varvas med bilder<br />
från kinesiska jeansfabriker och sydamerikanska<br />
vandringsleder. En flicka slår sönder en piñata<br />
med en fiol, fiskar simmar, barn slår varandra<br />
med kuddar så fjädrarna yr. Ordet TODAY<br />
återkommer och namnen på miljonsäljande<br />
artister blinkar förbi: Bruce Springsteen, Jay-Z,<br />
Madonna, Blondie. U2, Eminem, Rolling Stones,<br />
Nirvana, The Beatles, Aerosmith, Metallica, Stevie<br />
Wonder, Lady Gaga, Pink Floyd och Pink – liksom<br />
mytologiserade band som Joy Division, Gun<br />
Club, The Cramps, Patti Smith och Grateful Dead.<br />
Bandloggorna varvas med produktfoton på<br />
husgeråd som kastruller, kaffebryggare och salt- och pepparkar.</p>
<p>JOURNALISTEN: Med delayeffekt och aggressiv<br />
släpighet sjunger SÅNGERSKAN en uppgiven sång<br />
om det omöjliga i att vara rebell och hur varje<br />
rörelse mot en given kärna bekräftar denna kärna.<br />
I en väl samspelt rytmsektion blandas trummornas<br />
rytm med basens pumpande eller stickande toner.<br />
Vanligtvis spelar en gitarr eller ett piano låtens<br />
melodier och ackord. BANDNAMN har valt bort<br />
dessa instrument och bygger istället melodierna<br />
på sångerskans ovil- liga sång och på att låtarna<br />
ibland smyckas med ett trumpetspel som mer<br />
liknar fågelläten och bakvända ljudspår än vanligt<br />
musicerande.</p>
<p>Klockan 16.55 tänder en anställd från institutionen<br />
två halogenlampor framför mattan. De lyser upp<br />
den vita projektionsduken. En poster med en<br />
text och vad som på håll ser ut som en bild av en<br />
Mondrianmålning sätts upp på väggen intill duken.</p>
<p>Klockan 17 öppnas utställningen. Besökare som<br />
frågar får veta att BANDNAMN under vernissagen<br />
ska framföra tre låtar från sin kommande<br />
debutskiva och att den beräknade tiden för deras<br />
spelning – den första i stan – är nio minuter. De ska<br />
gå på klockan 18.30.</p>
<p>Klockan 18.40 kommer en av institutionens<br />
anställda och skriver med svart tuschpenna på<br />
posterns nedre del: BANDNAMN LIVE KL 19.</p>
<p>Klockan 19.10 kommer samma institutionsanställda<br />
tillbaka, stryker tiden 19 och skriver 19.30.</p>
<p>Klockan 20 stänger utställningen. Sladden dras<br />
ur så att de två lamporna som lyser upp den<br />
provisoriska scenen släcks.<br />
Efter vernissagen plockas instrumenten bort på<br />
grund av stöldrisken. Projektionsduken, mattan och<br />
texten lämnas kvar.</p>
<p>KRITIKERN: De tre efterlämnade vita<br />
formerna som kan liknas vid tomma papper<br />
är konstnärernas visuella beskrivning av en<br />
utsuddad handling. Handlingsutrymmet finns<br />
men bara ramverket återstår. Det oförändrade<br />
skriptet hänger kvar på väggen, men de övriga<br />
två “pappersarken” är nu blanka: pappret som<br />
väntade på projektionen av det historiska och<br />
politiska bildspelet är tomt; pappret som skrivits på<br />
med “bläck” i form av instrument och förstärkare<br />
är – tomt. Om fem veckor finns inte ens dessa sista<br />
former kvar.</p>

<p>An exhibition in four acts<br />
During the period of november 2009 until february 2010 a collaboration between Katarina Nitsch and me took place in a 300m2 basement at Macforum, in the center of Göteborg. The place where given to us in order to use it for our artistic practice. Instead of presenting our own work we decided through a letter composed as a poetic and cryptic operating instruction to invite other artist to exhibit. The letter became a invitation, a manual and the fundament for this project.</p>
<p>We divided the exhibition into 4 acts, The exhibition became therefore a story, a play. The room became the stage and the artist and their pieces became actors and props. Katarina and I where the directors, the technicians, producers and the scriptwriters. Our intentions and beliefs where that  in order to give space to others you generate more space both physically an mentally.</p>
<p>Every vernissage ended with a party at the nightclub Styrbord/babord. interpretations of the letter by Rune Lindbaek, Dj Sönke, Prejka became the soundtrack for the evenings. Every act was promoted by a poster designed by Albert Sjöstam. These 4 posters and the scrapbook in wich we collected all the artists texts, photos from the acts, reviews and our texts are the only things left after last opening day.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The new horizon</p>
<p>The ship has left port, navigating into uncharted waters. Something may have begun to settle. New questions have emerged. We wandered in circles, met with a powerful animal and where set in trance, heard choirs singing and voices speak, saw the signs, read the text, met a familiar figure that we had never seen before. On the floor above the computers are working to build mountains of gold. In their basement we see another mountain rise on the horizon. Who is that figure, who are we talking to, who is talking to us, what do you want from us?</p>
<p>Shall follow the rhythm &#8230; is an experiment, an adventure and an investigation on the logic of how a shared space becomes a space that is expanding. We were given a place, a space and we chose to invite to this space to in this way create even more space. Here you go; a space, an area to inhabit, thank you we responded and immediately invited so many that the ship should have capsized a long time ago. Instead something rather striking happened; the surface became three dimensional, four-dimensional, and even more than that, it continues to expand in a most remarkable way.</p>
<p>There was a letter that we could not decipher. We turned to those we knew we could trust; those completely irrational, contradictory, unruly and slow, those that with intuitive thoughtfulness could lead us onward.<br />
Now we are looking out over the new horizon.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The piece is installed in a shopping window in Örebro. Örebro is located in Närke and is a part of the Swedish wolf population´s geographical habitat. Six months after the installation of the piece, 28 wolves were shot (more then 10% of the Swedish/Norwegian tribe). The Swedish Government and  the hunters association feel that the population needs to be kept down to prevent inbreeding.</p>
<p>I create a kind of Mandala.<br />
The post-it notes stand as symbols for time and reminiscence.</p>

<p>In the bottom of the image DOM is written  , DOM means THEM in Swedish (spoken Swedish). But it also means VERDICT. In polish DOM means HOME.</p>

<p>The Vessel, A: The arrival and installing of The Vessel; a performance at the opening on the 8th of September 2010. B: Two objects, a story and its sound.</p>
<p>The Vessel is a vessel that collects restlessness, anxiety, longing<br />
and dejection. Within The Vessel a character is travelling, totally<br />
clumsy and speechless in front of the huge machinery of violence<br />
pervading the situations it is witnessing. The Character is dominated<br />
by anxiety and the incorruptible resistance that is the driving force<br />
of those who in silence are struggeling for a change within themselves<br />
and in relation to the world. The Character is a body and a system of<br />
thoughts. It is experiencing that  the fundament upon which it has<br />
been resting begins to crack and it cannot see where it next will be<br />
able to get foothold. Despite the fear and dejection it decides to<br />
expose itself to situations it cannot control. By putting itself in<br />
motion it desperately tries to find a way out of its dejected state of<br />
mind.</p>
